Follow your dreams

Crossing a landscape of featureless earth
No moonlight for guidance, the stars all obscured
There's little of beauty and nothing of worth
You're tiring of all you've endured

Seeking a pathway that leads into light
Searching for something to guide your way through
You enter a building that looks safe and bright
Behind you the door closes to

Where are you going and what have you done?
Becoming the things you said you'd never be
Ransom the person you could still become
Follow your dreams and be free

Knowing inside it's a valueless game
Sleeping your way through the daily routines
No better prospect than more of the same
And wondering what it all means

Where are you going and what have you done?
The moon and the stars can be yours if you see
Ransom the person you could still become
Follow your dreams and be free
